Historical developments from the time of Oriya literature to the present day are summarized in this discussion book. The first chapter discusses the history of Odisha, the Oriya language and the Oriya script, which can also be considered as an introduction to the book. Age-division is a big problem in Oriya literature. There are a number of literary seekers in modern times who are composing poetry in contemporary literary philosophy.Their writings are literary in terms of literature; But their birth is in modern times and their compositions are also in modern times. Similarly, literature, like sixteenth-century saint-literature, is emerging in modern times.
It is convenient to introduce the literature which is created within a certain period of time according to the name of the age concerned; Special attention is paid to this in the book. Although I have followed many historians of Oriya literature in the past in the field of partition, in some places I have gone my own way and pointed out the reason for the technology in favor of it.
Another problem is the timing of some of the controversies of ‘Kalasa Chautisha’, ‘Keshab Koili’, ‘Rudrasudhanidhi’ etc. These have been accepted by many scholars as pre-modern compositions. Again, some scholars have tried to prove that these were written in the later ages. I have analyzed the views of both groups and placed each discussion in a special chapter in a logical time.
The development of Oriya literature has been chronologically highlighted in this book about many of the major and minor writers who have made it possible for them to write. Like the main writer, secondary writers have a role to play in leading Oriya literature on the path of development, some more and some less.No matter how little he wrote for Oriya literature, he was my friend, relative; How can he be ignored? I have not forgotten to list some of their works where necessary, even if they have deprived some of their work of a proper analysis in fear of an unexpected increase in the size of the book.
Nonetheless, be it major or minor, there is no doubt that some talents have not come to the forefront of the discussion in my view. It is my ignorance, not ignorance or neglect at all.Due to the size of the book, it has not been possible to discuss in detail the various aspects of Oriya literature in Oriya children’s literature, Oriya translation literature, Oriya tourism literature and Oriya character literature.
