Jagannath Das is a popular devotee of the Bhagavata devotional poem, based on the biography of about fifty devotees from the mythology, history and legends of the eighteenth-century devotee poet Ram Das’s book “Dardhyatabhakti or ‘Dardhyatabhakti Rasamrut”. He also appealed to Lord Rama and Lord Krishna. It is very difficult to find God through yoga and wisdom. So Ram Das has taken the simple path of devotion on his own. “It simply came to our notice then.Among these devotees are kings, there are merchants, there are rich people, there are Brahmins; There are, however, very poor people, ordinary people born on the shudra clan, men; There are also women. There is no distinction between rich and poor in devotion, race and ethnicity. All are equal before God. The poet describes the devotee’s character in such a way that it attracts simple and devout men and women.
