All authors value poetry, novels and storytelling.Almost no one has concentrated on translating high-quality books written in other languages. His contribution to Oriya translation literature is commendable for Dr. Panigrahi’s hard work in translating the Oriya book ‘Outlines of Mahayana Buddhism’ into Oriya.

After Buddhism was born in India two and a half thousand years ago, Odisha became one of the main centers of Buddhism. Emperor Ashoka defeated Kalinga in the third century BC and was shocked by the horrors of war and converted to Buddhism.At that time, the importance of Kalinga for Buddhism increased Ruling from Toshali, the capital of Kalinga, Ashoka preached Buddhism all over the world.
