Everyone knows that language first and then literature. If there is no language, who will create literature for? In a country where literature is written, language is certainly created long before that time (even hundreds of years ago). At this point, the question arises, when was the creation of the Odia language and from when did the writing of literature in the Odia language begin?
The creation of any language does not take place on any given day. It is first used in public and after a long time it is well-developed or developed. The Odia language is similarly slowly evolving from a very uneducated and undeveloped state. Scholars say that even today, at least two thousand years ago, the unique identity of the Odia language was relatively small or very underdeveloped. We know that the rivers Mahanadi, Baitarani, Brahmani, Rasikulya, Bansdhara, Budhabalanga, etc., are very wide (very wide) when they merge into the sea; But from where the rivers originate, we will see that these rivers look very narrow, unstructured, like a normal canal at the source of their origin. The same is true of language. For at least two thousand years, the Odia language has been slowly developing, well-organized and spread. As the aforementioned main rivers flowed, the words of many languages entered the Odia language, as did many new canals along the way. This has increased the vocabulary and vitality of the Odia language.
