The exemplary craftsmanship of the Konark (Sun temple), holy Lord Jagannath temple, enthralling ancient caves, classical Oddisi dance, indescribable beauty of Chilka speak volumes of affluent heritage and glorious cultural traditions of the state. Art and craft also contributes to a major part of the culture of Odisha.

The dance and music is an inseparable part of the Oriyan culture. The classical ‘Odissi dance which is the improvised version of dance from the religious cult of the ‘devadasis’ or female temple dancers shower its excellence not only in the country, but leaves its imprint on foreign land too. ‘Chhow’ or the ‘Sambalpuri’ folk dance and exotic tribal dances like the ‘Ghumura’ & ‘Paraja’ are undoubtedly amazing.
The people of the state celebrate numerous festivals with great emotion and rapture. Most important among them are ‘Bali Jatra’ which is associated with mahabharta fame bali and world biggest cultural fair ‘Jagannath Rath Yatra’.
Thank you for writing such nice articles. Odisha is really a nice place and a well known tourist destinations. If I am not wrong then there are lots of ancient temples right. And I love the way you write.
